Shine’s original literacy and creative-based Spanish classes for children ages 2-10.

Listillos

The perfect compliment to our Little Luminaries program (or any preschool program), Listillos is a theme-based class that immerses children into the Spanish language by using fun and engaging activities that encourage language development through visual arts, music, movement, storytelling, and games. Participants will engage in the richness of the Spanish language and gain a better understanding of it through thematic, age-appropriate art and literacy lessons.

Like our Little Luminaries platform, Listillos will progress along with the students through each year of school. While younger children will spend more time learning around a general theme, older children will get to explore the cultures and customs of Spanish-speaking countries through original art activities ranging from Mexican luchador masks, Colombian molas, Dia de los Muertos flowers and calavera, and Aztec codex. These projects will not only develop an appreciation of art and culture but will expose children to a wide array of Spanish vocabulary.

The class is taught by a native Spanish speaker in a bilingual format and is open to children of all language levels.

Listillos: Uno-a-Uno

Older children or more fluent speakers may choose to participate in our new Listillos: Uno-a-Uno class. This private, one-on-one class will allow a deeper conversational approach to the language and include field trips, cooking, art, and more.
